Location
In the well-known Valley dell'Ombrone, just 23 Km from Siena, rises the Castel Monastero, set in an intact ancient medieval village dating back to the eleventh century, known as the of the monastery of the Ombrone. Long stretches of vineyards of Chianti, chestnut forests and hills covered with wheat are the framework for this witness of Tuscan nobility.

Rooms
The Resort disposes of 73 rooms and suites and a villa. The rooms are furnished in contemporary style but are strongly linked to regional traditions, as reflected in the terracotta flooring and wooden beams. The villa is on two floors and enjoys a privileged view on the ancient medieval village. Upon request, guests can have a private chef and butler, in order to fully enjoy the privacy that this property can offer to the guests of Castel Monastero who are looking for seclusion and quiet.

Wellness Centre
The flag-ship of Castel Monastero is undoubtedly the spectacular Spa, which is situated between two beautiful country houses, representatives of the typical architecture of Tuscan countryside. The centre covers an area of 1000 sq.m. Doctors and specialists will be able to recommend treatments and diets that best suit the needs of each guest.

The cost of the SPA path is € 40.00 per person.

Restaurant
The gourmet restaurant “Contrada” (open from May to October - dates may vary) will be happy to amaze guests of Castel Monastero with the best of traditional Tuscan cuisine, known for the  genuineness of its excellent dishes. Anyone wishing to deepen the knowledge of Tuscan wine tradition, will go to the “La Cantina”, where, under the guidance of expert sommeliers, will enjoy the best regional wines and the vintages of Chianti produced in the estate, accompanying them with the tasting of typical specialities of the area. 

Services & Activities 
Upon request, guests can ask for: hot-air balloon rides, personal shopper, wine and gastronomic cultural tours, wireless internet, babysitting. Nearby: pony riding, go kart, adventure park for children. 
Periodically organizes courses of haute cuisine, given in the cellar or in the restaurant under the supervision of the most knowledgeable and experienced Italian chefs and sommeliers.

Small pets (max 15 kg) allowed on request, with a supplement of € 30/day. Check-in 15:00, check-out 11:00.
