Hotel

Born from the recovery of a country house dedicated to the processing of almonds in the Val di Noto, I Carusi Bio Relais is a country house built in the typical local architectural and construction style, but with modern bio-construction techniques. The soft stone of Noto, the clay tiles clear, the hard limestone of Modica, walls in white tuff and numerous finishes in terracotta. Everything here tells the ancient story of this Sicilian peasant village.

The interiors were instead designed in a modern and minimalist style by recycling the materials used during the reconstruction.

Staying at I Carusi Bio Relais your vacation will be zero impact, because it is a relais with an environmentally friendly and biodiversity-preserving facility. 100% of the energy used is produced from renewable sources. The wastewater is purified and used for the irrigation of the agricultural part.

The relais is studied in detail and the 5 rooms (each different from the other) are enchanting.

Rooms

I Carusi Bio Relais has 5 stylish and spacious bedrooms - each are individually decorated which makes the hotel even more special.

For each room, the recycled materials are combined with the finishes of contemporary architecture.

The bedrooms vary in size, outfitted with luxury beds and materials of wood, stone and marble. Equipped with: independent entrance, mini bar, air conditioning, free wifi, hairdryer, bathrobe and courtesy products. Some are spread over two floors and others only one. All have an outdoor patio for reserved use, furnished with table and sofas.

Each room at I Carusi Bio Relais is designed as a small universe of design and comfort studied in detail to ensure a relaxing experience.

Beach

At the I Carusi Bio Relais, the beaches are very close and the sea can be seen even while swimming in the ultra-modern infinity pool.

The fine sandy beach of Noto Marina is only 1.7 km away and can be reached via footpaths (20 minutes) or with the bikes provided by the relais.

Not to miss, among many, a swim at sunset at the nearby Eloro beach (1,4 km).

Restaurant

The attention and attention to detail of I Carusi Bio Relais is also brought to the table using organic ingredients of its own production and aromatic plants which, with their variety of colors and scents, capture the senses and the soul, making you taste the flavors of other times.

All the products are used and cooked by Simona (the owner), who masterfully exploits the resources of the earth (freshly harvested vegetables, top quality products obtained from the production of the relais such as oil), to create delicious breakfasts, lunches and dinners for guests who request it.

All this means that in this location you can savor ancient Sicilian recipes, rediscover the taste of home-made foods and forget time by stopping the clock.

Services & Activities

I Carusi Bio Relais features an outdoor salt water infinity pool (pool towels available free of charge) with a bar where you can have a drink; a solarium and a garden. The use of mountain bikes is available for guests. Free Wi-Fi and coffee in common areas, newspapers.

You can take advantage of free parking, along with an airport shuttle (available 24 hours) for EUR 60 per vehicle one-way. The front desk has multilingual staff that can help with luggage storage and tours/tickets and is open every day from 8:00 to 24:00.

Among the activities offered for a fee, the olive harvest (between October and November) and cooking lessons.

Sports lovers can choose from a number of activities on request and for a fee as snorkeling and windsurfing.

In this Relais, social and educational agriculture is carried out (educational farm).

The Resort is a 2-minute walk from the Vendicari Reserve.
