Location

VOI Daniela Essentia is located in the heart of Salento, about 1 km from the coast and 12 km from the town of Otranto. An ideal place for a holiday of relaxation and fun, the resort is easily reached from Brindisi airport, which is about 80 km away.

Hotel

Surrounded by a centuries-old pine forest, the VOI Daniela Essentia is a village covering an area of approximately two hectares. Beyond the pine forest is the sea, a cove dedicated to resort guests. About 150 metres from the resort there are other coves, among high tuff cliffs, overlooking crystal-clear waters.
The resort is barrier-free and has recently obtained GSTC (Global Sustainable Tourism Council) certification.

Rooms

Located in two- or three-storey buildings, the 147 rooms have a furnished terrace and all amenities, including air conditioning, Wi-Fi and TV. They are divided into different types, differing mainly in terms of size, location and view. In all room types there will be a multimedia streaming device, which allows content available on the Internet, mobile phone and PC to be projected onto the TV.
A coffee/tea station will be available in all rooms. In addition, for those who need it, there will be the possibility of working remotely from the room, with dedicated equipment and services.

Superior rooms enjoy exclusive use of the following services: one beach umbrella and two sun loungers per room reserved in the first row on the beach, reserved table on the terrace of the main restaurant, free change of beach towels, minibar drinks included on arrival (refilling on request, extra charge), evening room turndown, voice-controlled Alexa device for information on the area and useful news for your stay, beach shopper bag with sun kit.

The service, which cannot be combined with promotions and special offers, costs € 175.00 per room per week until 02/7 and from 27/08; € 210.00 per room per week in other periods. It is subject to availability and must be confirmed at the time of booking.

Beach

The private beach is about 1 km from VOI Daniela Essentia. It can be reached on foot along a path through the pine forest, or by shuttle train. It is equipped with umbrellas and sunbeds, which are available to guests subject to availability. The beach is sandy with some stones, and in some periods the water currents may cause the shoreline to narrow. The use of shoes is therefore recommended. The entrance to the water is gradually sloping. Beach towel included, Ecotax required for each change. The requested contribution will be donated to eco-friendly initiatives described on site.
A shared powerbank station is available on the beach.

Sport

At the VOI Daniela Essentia there are numerous sports facilities, padel court for free use and upon reservation, a multi-purpose five-a-side football pitch with artificial turf, a sand beach volleyball/beach tennis court, a gym and group courses in some sports.

A team of sports specialists will welcome and direct your desire for exercise or fun in company. 

There will also be jogging and body&mind trails to keep body and mind fit; electric bikes for hire with organised tours and excursions, group courses of Yoga, Pilates, Hiit FIT and five-a-side football. Rental of sports equipment for individual use.

Families

Childcare is provided for children aged between 3 and 8, divided into age groups. There will be activities at the beach, by the pool, sports, activities and nature experiences.

Restaurant

Overlooking the swimming pool, the main restaurant offers many dishes of Salento and regional tradition, with selected quality ingredients. A corner of the breakfast room is reserved for gluten-free products. The chefs are always willing to accommodate guests with food intolerances.

The treatments available are:

Half Board: breakfast (wide choice of typical Salento pastries and express cafeteria at the table) and buffet lunch or dinner at the Main Restaurant and its terrace overlooking the pool (meal at Guest's choice), with bottled water and soft drinks with meals.

Full Board: breakfast (wide selection of typical Salento pastries and express coffee at the table), buffet lunch and dinner at the Main Restaurant and its terrace overlooking the pool, with bottled water and soft drinks with meals.

Two bars are available, one by the pool (table service or directly at the sunbeds) and one on the beach.

Services & Activities

The resort has two lifts, two swimming pools, one of which is reserved for children, and numerous other services for the well-being and comfort of guests.

Digital Detox Paths are organised, with weekly activities aimed at disconnecting from the Internet and the hustle and bustle of everyday life; group Bar Classes with local barmen (booking required).

Services for a fee: laundry, boutique, parapharmacy, newsagent, tobacconist, sports equipment rental for individual use, baby sitting.

Services included in the price: free Wi-Fi connection throughout the hotel, internal unattended parking.

Other available services include: an external medical service for a fee and a drug purchase service; porterage service on arrival and departure; VOIhotels APP; car rental service with pick-up and drop-off at the hotel; electric bike rental with organised tours for a fee; bookcrossing spaces.

Many evening activities are organised such as live music, piano bar, DJ set parties, silent cinema under the stars.
