Location
The city of Modica is a part of the Val di Noto, the geographical complex which embraces the south-eastern part of Sicily, the one closest to Africa. The city has been declared UNESCO Heritage Sites in Italy thanks to its natural caves, its baroque architecture, for the stone walls of his countryside. The Slow&Chic Casa Talía is located in the old Jewish quarter at short distance from the main street of Modica, between stone houses nestled on the hill and characterized by hundred baroque cathedrals. The surroundings of Casa Talía deals with many interesting sites. The choice is wide as you can visit the cities of Ragusa and Caltagirone, amazing beaches, natural reserves, and from the nearby port of Pozzallo, you can reach Malta by hydrofoil.

Hotel
Casa Talía consists of small houses surrounded by the typical Mediterranean atmosphere, where the slowing philosophy is the main character. Its young owners have restored it and they succeed in creating a quiet oasis even though they are in the centre of a touristic town. Nestled in a flourishing garden, the structure is characterized by the natural and biocompatible materials , for the typical Sicilian "exposed stone" technique and antique bricks, lime plasters, cane roof, stone and polychrom tiled floors. You will be surprised by the regenerating effect of Casa Talía. Choosing the slowliving gives you the chance to savour every single second of your stay in Sicily.

Rooms
The courtyard consists of a series of small houses, which are on different natural levels of the ground. Each houses has the entrance from the garden and offers a private and panoramic terrace or a balcony. The rooms, located in the different structures, overlook internal garden and are independent and do not communicate each other. The restoration respected the preexistences, in addition they has been furnished with simplicity and good taste and the details reflect a “Sicilianity” point of view. All rooms, fully equipped and comfortable, differ in typology: Standard, Superior, Suite, Suite Superior and House-Dependence.

Beach
Sicily has wonderful seashores such as the beaches of Sampieri, Marina di Modica, Marina di Ragusa, the Reserve Vendicari, Marzamemi and Kamarina, just a few km away from Casa Talía. By car you can reach shore beach services and choose sand or rocky areas.

Sports
For those who like sports, it is possible to do windsurf, kitesurf, sailing, horseriding, fishing and light flying.

Restaurant
A rich breakfast is served in the dining room or outdoors in the shadow of an olive tree. Casa Talìa does not have a restaurant, but the owners and their staff will suggest the best chefs of Modica.

Services & Activities
The courtyard is furnished with deckchairs, hammock, shower and conversation area. Guests can require the breakfast in the room or in the private terrace. Casa Talìa guarantees a daily room cleaning.

Tourist tax – The municipality of Modica requires the payment of a tourist tax of € 1,00 per person/night and has to be paid on spot.
